Posted on Ludwig ReimmerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I hired MARBLELIFE Pittsburgh for a quartz kitchen sink recut and was extremely pleased. Bob did exceptional work, surpassing what my wife and I expected. Communication was timely, and the quoted price matched the final cost. Highly recommend their reliable, professional service—definitely a 5+ star experience!Posted on wade saucierTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Pittsburgh Marblelife team was excellent. Restored an old 84 year old stone floor that had some water damage to the stones. Very happy with the results. At first we were going to place a wall to wall rug in the room. But after the restoration we decided to keep the floor exposed due to the fine restoration work. Thank you!Posted on Kalena ThomhaveTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a great experience with MARBLELIFE and Bob, and wholeheartedly recommend them. Bob and his team cleaned, honed, and sealed my kitchen countertops, and they look so beautiful. I’m not usually a review writer, but I have also never experienced being in love with kitchen counters. My partner and I are doing a low-cost “remodel” of our kitchen—you know, new paint job, new lighting fixtures, and other changes that don’t mean gutting and renovating and tens of thousands of dollars. Our granite countertops were perfectly useable, but I didn’t really like them. However, I knew replacing them would not only be wasteful, but also super expensive. I did some research, and I thought that getting them honed to a matte finish would make them fit the style of the kitchen better. Before I talked to Bob at MARBLELIFE, I talked to a couple other fabricators who weren’t interested in tackling our counters. And I think I get why—it would not only be a hard project, but matte counters are more finicky, so customers might not be pleased with the additional care needed. But Bob was totally open to honing our countertops! He was very communicative—we talked mostly by text, which is nice for millennials and also because I could easily pull up our conversation if I forgot details of something he said, and we also connected over the phone. Pricing was clear and reasonable with no surprises. Bob and his team completed the job quickly and even left us some sealant for the next time the counters need it. AND THEY LOOK SO GOOD! This review is getting too long, but let me just say if you’re thinking about a matte finish: the colors of the stone are so much richer and it’s also so clear the counters are made of NATURAL STONE. Yes we need to be better about taking care of it, but I don’t mind. If I knew more about granite and stone I know I could say more about how professional Bob was, but I can say that it is clear he’s both an expert and a good and reliable businessperson. If and when we have any other issues with stone or tile, I know who we will be calling!Posted on Marianne DeanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kristen and Bob were very responsive, timely and professional. They repaired a large scratch in my corian countertop, replaced the caulking and repaired a chip in my ceramic tile floor. Their work was incredible. The Corian and the ceramic tile look like the day I bought them. I highly recommend Marblelife!Posted on Rocky MedureTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Bob and his team restored our slate floor and did an absolutely amazing job. Their care and effort shine through. Huge thanks to them for excellent customer service and thoughtfulness.Posted on Jane PTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Superb workmanship and excellent service! We have a 20-yr old travertine bathroom and shower that had never been professionally cleaned before. Bob and his team were able to clean/sand away etching and stains from the counter and shower entry and deep clean the shower, removing soap scum and mildew. It looks as good as it did 20 years ago! Bob also cleaned and sealed our granite kitchen counter. We had a sink that was installed without proper supports and we have dealt with leaks along the rim for years. Because Bob has experience with stone installation, he was able to reinstall the sink with proper supports - it has never been more secure. Throughout the process, Bob consults you to make sure you are happy with what they are doing and will adjust as needed. We couldn't be happier with the service and will use Bob on a regular basis for deep cleaning and resealing.Posted on Jim HarpsterTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our countertop was damaged by the stove installers. Bob and his wife came to the rescue and made our countertop look like it as brand new! He was fast, clean and efficient!Posted on innocentrage1Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a stress fracture crack in my quartz countertop and Bob came out and looked at it and told me because it was quartz, a man made stone, he could glue it back together but it was highly possible that in a year or two it may crack again and suggested a new countertop may be the better option. Bob has many years experience in this business and had a list of contacts he provided me. I contacted one of those contacts and got a beautiful new countertop that was way better than the crafmanship of my old countertops done by a chain retail store. Even though Bob did not get my business this time I will be using him in the future for any services with my new countertops. I admire him for helping me and making suggestions even though it didn't make him a profit. A lot of companies would of just taken my money with a quick glue fix and I would have run into the same problem later down the road.Posted on John BaronTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Bob and his team were fantastic. They went out of their way to get me out of a situation concerning a marble mosaic floor and exceeded all my expectations. Can’t thank them enough.Posted on Rob RikerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. These guys really over-delivered! We understood that the 136 yrs of baked-on soot were likely to be impossible to clean completely, and confirmed with several quotes. But they gave it a ton of time and attention and got it much further than we dared hope. A good bit of structural repair and an exceptional attention to detail rounded out a great project. They were reliable schedulers and good communicators, both rare to find in in-home contractors. Looking forward to having them back to help with more fireplaces. One warning: for work like this with structural repair it would be good to schedule when windows can be open, as their epoxy has a powerful odor! Was eager to leave this review & share our enthusiasm.Load more
Frequently Asked Questions
Our commercial stone services cover professional cleaning, repair, full restoration, polishing, sealing, and ongoing maintenance for stone, tile, grout, and concrete surfaces throughout your facility. This can include lobby floors, restroom tile, kitchen and bar areas, guest corridors, patient or resident spaces, and outdoor entries or walkways.
We work with a wide range of commercial properties, including office buildings, banks, hotels, restaurants, retail stores, grocery locations, medical facilities, churches, schools, warehouses, and government buildings, as well as national and regional portfolios.
Our technicians service marble, granite, terrazzo, quartz, limestone, travertine, slate, ceramic and porcelain tile, grout, and many other natural and engineered materials used in commercial construction. We evaluate each area and recommend the right process and products for that specific surface and use pattern.
We understand that closed areas impact revenue and guest experience, so we plan work around your schedule, including evenings or off peak times whenever possible. Many services, such as advanced grout treatments and protective coatings, can be completed in a single service window so floors are ready for use again by the next business period.
Yes. We offer treatments and coatings designed to improve traction on appropriate surfaces while still delivering a clean, attractive appearance. On tile and grout, we can apply sealing and protective systems to create a uniform, sealed, and easier to maintain surface that supports both appearance and safety goals in busy restrooms, corridors, and entry areas.
Service frequency depends on traffic levels and the type of facility. High use spaces such as lobby floors, restrooms, restaurant dining rooms, and grocery aisles may benefit from scheduled maintenance cleaning and periodic polishing or resealing to protect the restored finish and keep grout sealed. During your evaluation, we will recommend a maintenance plan that fits your building and budget.
We provide both. Many clients start with a one time restoration to return surfaces to a like new appearance, then enroll in a tailored maintenance program that includes regular cleaning, sealing, and inspection. Our goal is to restore stone one time and then help you maintain it so additional restorations are not needed.
Yes. MARBLELIFE focuses on solutions that support building health and hygiene while protecting stone surfaces. Our systems are designed for use in sensitive environments, including restaurants, medical facilities, and hospitality spaces. Our procedures help keep soils, bacteria, and moisture on the surface where they can be effectively removed, rather than absorbed into porous grout or stone.
Yes. MARBLELIFE serves commercial clients across North America while still providing local service in Pittsburgh. This allows you to have consistent standards, methods, and appearance across many sites, while enjoying the responsiveness of a nearby team that understands your specific buildings and traffic patterns.
You can request a free consultation or estimate through the MARBLELIFE® Pittsburgh website or by contacting our local office. A trained stone craftsman will review your floors, walls, restrooms, and other surfaces, provide a detailed evaluation, discuss options, and build a commercial stone service plan that supports your image, safety, and maintenance goals.
